Will the Mega Mug press really process a Mug in just 15 seconds?
No it takes longer. Our Mug press machines are set for a pressing temperature of 185°C and a pressing time of 15 seconds. The way that they work is when at 185°C and the start button is pressed a sensor measures the heat of the mug and the displayed temperature will drop from the 185°C by (typically) 20°C or 30°C. The temperature will then rise but the 15 second timer will only begin to count down when the sensor indicates the mug has reached 185°C. So, when you consider that sublimation ink will begin to react above 160°C the mug will have been sublimating for a little while before the 15 second timer is triggered. That way you get a more consistent mug production than the timer starting as soon as the start button is pressed.
